Thin-crust Pita Pizza

Ingredients

pita bread (gyro bread also works great!)
hummus (Athenos 3 Pepper is highly recommended) OR pesto
1 can tomato sauce
italian seasoning
garlic powder
pepper jack cheese, shredded
toppings (try roasted red peppers, spinach, etc.)

Instructions

preheat oven to 400. mix the tomato sauce with italian seasoning and garlic powder to taste. spread a thin layer of hummus on the bread, follow with a thin layer of sauce. sprinkle with the cheese, add toppings if desired, and cook on a pizza stone for ~four minutes.

cut into fourths and serve.
